Build A Wide Back With This Exercise

The lat pulldown is one of my favourite exercise for the lats, once learned, it's incredibly easy to execute and target the lats every time you perform the exercise. I prefer to hold the back at the widest angle I can while maintaining a good grip between my pinky finger and the bar, because once you let go of the pinky finger, the exercise is gone, but you don't want to hold the bar too close otherwise you neglect the back and focus more on the arms and shoulders. Ensure you arch your back and draw your shoulder blades down to emphasise using the lats. Pull with the elbows first and don't worry about hand position.
